PARIS, France (Le Monde Staff Writer) - Event organizers of one of the world's largest air shows at Le Bourgeoisie Airport are close to announcing another safe year without incidents.

Previous serious crashes occurred in 1999 and 1989. The last fatal crash was in 1973.

Disappointed spectators from as far away as Australia left the event scratching their heads. "We expected to see more flyovers," said one woman. "Rather than hearing the noise of the sound-barrier breaking, the most exciting thing we heard was that Airbus outsold Boeing."

Her husband added, "We would like our money back."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
