There were stares of disbelief, and at least one instance of jaw-dropping amazement late this afternoon, as a woman ascended a tree rather in the style of a monkey, to the absolute astonishment of those watching.
The incident took place as Moys Kenwood, 56, stood by and allowed his wife to 'shinny' up the tree's trunk, and clamber through a mass of branches to scale its dizzy heights.
She leapt around, and hopped from branch to branch, collecting what she had gone for, namely, some strong-tasting florets and leaves from the Neem tree that, being rich in anti-oxidants, act as a 'cleanser' for those wishing to flush toxins from their bodies.
Mrs Kenwood grabbed sprigs of the plant from the uppermost boughs of the tree, in what seemed like an extremely cavalier and nonchalant way, stretching out her arms until she was plucking the plant with her fingertips, laughing and joking as she did so.
She even cackled at one point.
Various neighbors and passers-by conducted snippets of conversations with her as they went about their business, and she hers.
No members of the Simian family were harmed during the writing of this story.
