An extra strong gust of wind was thought to have been responsible for damage to the fence of a house in Nottingham this morning, after the owner of the property woke early to go to the toilet, looked outside, and saw a section of his latted fence laid horizontal.
Wilbert Snatch, of 45 Nincompoop Street, had an uncomfortable feeling in his bladder at around 7:30am, and realised that, if he didn't get a move on, his wife was going to be washing their bed covers later.
He rose, and made his way to the bathroom.
Whilst emptying his tanks, he became aware of the sound of the wind outside, and, without washing his hands, went to look out of the window of his back bedroom. What he saw, astonished him.
"The derelict house next door had fallen down. And a panel of my fence had also blown down. I only put that fence up in the summer!"
Neighbour, Alfred Woggum, who lives at number 47, said:
"He should have got a professional to put that fence up."
