A man guilty of a catastrophic miscalculation has vowed never to make the same mistake again.
The man, who spoke to us only on condition of anonymity, says that, although he acted with the best of intentions, he did so on impulse, and only realised his error when it was far too late. He said the incident had taught him an invaluable lesson for the future.
Speaking today, he said:
"This experience has certainly showed me the error of my ways. It's fair to say, I will think twice, and exercise much more caution next time I'm faced with a situation like this. I'll have to watch my step from now on!"
Many people tend to fall foul of the 'impulse factor', and act completely without regard for the possible consequences of their actions. These 'Gung Ho' acts can end up with them being shown up in front of friends and family, or suffering a degrading humiliation at the expense of other people.
"Not me," said the man here, adding "no more Cavalier-like antics! I've learnt my lesson!"
