After decades of intense hostility, the United States and Cuba have finally agreed to let bygones be bygones and have a fresh start to an era of civility between the two arch-enemies.
Diplomats from both countries signed a treaty stipulating the terms under which they agree to stop trying to overthrow each other. Cuba will allow unlimited financial investment in all its industries (except cigar making). And the U.S. will forgive Cuba for almost pushing the button and starting the countdown to launch a barrage of nuclear missiles that would have ended civilization as we know it.
Critics on both ends of the political spectrum complained that the new policy is either a communist plot or a capitalist conspiracy.
