Strong smell of Ukrainian home-grown coming from the hold

Stockholm - A bit of Cold War submersible kit found adrift off Stockholm Archipelago's murky waters may be the remains of an emergency sub that fell off Roman Abramovich's superyacht Dun Frackin a Swedish Coast Guard spokesman said today.

The stricken vessel was seen listing at 90 degrees in choppy seas between Nattaro Island and Steven Danziger Gatt about 16 miles from Stockholm and nearly 1,000 miles from Moscow.

Early reports have indicated the Soviet-era Akula-class sub had previously been bought and refurbished by Abramovich as a luxury distraction for his megayacht guests.

Swedish salvage sources said today it had probably become detached from the ocean-going runabout amid claims a rogue ex-Russian Navy submariner codenamed Captain Ramius had commandeered the vessel following an onboard spat with Abramovich over pay.

An advance Swedish Navy patrol sent to investigate the listing craft to ight has reported a strong smell of Ukrainian home-grown cannabis fumes coming from the sub's hold, adding an air of toxic mystery to the unfolding misadventure.

Search and rescue operations will resume at dawn tomorrow.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
