OSLO, Norway - The Norwegian government has stated that they will no longer be sending sardines to Russia.
The decision was made due to the fact that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is not backing off of his aggression against the Ukraine.
Norway had been sending Russia over 2 million pounds of sardines on a monthly basis but it says that it will now divert those shipments to the South American countries of Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador.
An angry Putin has responded by saying that before it is all over Norway will pay for using sardines as a military ploy.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin is considering substituting jellyfish from Haiti to make up for the sardines.
