MOSCOW - President Putin has just announced that he has been in talks with several Central American governments about the possibility of purchasing some real estate.
The leader of the Russian nation says that he talked to Nicaragua and Guatemala but he is presently leaning towards making a deal with Panama.
President Putin said that he had a rather lengthy conversation with Panamanian President Beto Cabeza de Vaca yesterday about possibly purchasing the Panama Canal.
Two weeks ago President Cabeza de Vaca had stated in no uncertain terms that the Panama Canal was not for sale at any price.
The Vodkavich News Agency of Russia is reporting today that the leader of Panama has since had a sudden change of heart.
Vodkavich did not wish to go into the details of what exactly caused President Cabeza de Vaca to change his position on the canal.
