GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala - President Pancho Ensalada of Guatemala has asked President Obama for a loan in order to start up a space program similar to the one the United States has.
President Ensalada informed President Obama that he met with five of his top governmental financial advisors and they estimated that the amount needed with be $13 billion.
The Guatemalan president said that he feels that it is time that Central America is represented in the world of space exploration.
He informed President Obama that they have just had six Guatemalan pilots graduate from Left Coast College in Carpinteria, California and they will be become full-fledged astronauts in the Guatemalan Space Program.
SIDENOTE: President Obama informed President Ensalada that he will have to run the $13 billion loan through Congress, but he feels very confident that they will approve the amount needed.
