Sweet land of Liberty.

America is still reeling today due to an all out attack from its worst enemy ever, itself.

Poor old lady liberty got kicked in the pants by an aggressor it couldn't hope to fight off, following a computer related communication mishap that saw troops deployed and at least one rocket fired.

According to our sources, it all started when the Pentagon began receiving reports that a large country with international concerns had been mistreating its own citizens and that police of this undiscovered country had been filmed harming unarmed civilians and that it had a poor human rights record. Hackles were raised at this stage, the thinking being "How dare they?"

Next there came the news that this unknown country was also a financial giant and sitting on untold wealth and natural reserves. Our inside reporter said that clear signs of interest were displayed at this point by the widening of nostrils and sniffing the air, as the lumbering military beast started to stretch its talons in anticipation of the hunt.

Grid references were sought and fed into computers, intelligence was gathered, whispered discussions in hushed tones in the corridors of power heightened the sense of anticipation to breaking point and then a new piece of news came in. Who ever this country is, they have been using torture to retrieve information from various groups of freedom fighters.

That was it, the military machine let slip the slavering dogs of war and aimed them at the computer fed coordinates only to be revealed too late. Everything they had heard about this "other country" was true.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
