Rumour has it that fight mogul Don King is on the verge of offering Susan Boyle and Mary Byrne out of the X-Factor a multi million dollar contract to fight at Madison Square Garden next June.
At this stage, it isn't clear whether the electric shock headed convicted killer is actually serious, or whether he's just having a laugh with his people, but the prospect of a fight between Mary Byrne and Susan Boyle is certainly whetting the appetites of devoted fight fans.
Nobody seems quite sure how the two protagonists would approach such a contest, but experts consider that Boyle will probably fight a Joe Frazier type contest, coming in low and firing in flurries of body shots and upper cuts. Byrne is expected to fight toe to toe, maximising her weight advantage, firing in vicious crosses and hooks at Boyle's head.
"I'd pay top dollar to see this fight," boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard told a friend. "They're two formidable lookin' ladies, and if all this really does come off, I'm looking forward to watching them trying their level best to knock each other's blocks off."
Indeed, Sugar Ray Leonard himself is rumoured to be preparing for a sensational ring comeback with a 'three fight in one night' extravaganza at the Garden. Rumour has it that first, he will fight the two soft looking sorts out of Diva Fever, and then pink haired X-Factor reject Storm Lee.
No news yet of a pending bitch fight between X-Factor wannabes Katie Waissel and Cher Lloyd.
