Nancy Pelosi, mother of five, grandmother of seven and looking twenty years younger than her age, is planning to run for Minority Leader of the House of Representatives. Three cheers! Why should any dame who brought the people of the homeland a national health care program walk away from her leadership position?
The United States was the only industrial nation in the world without a national health care program. If the U.S. can have nuclear deterrents for protection, why not national health care for protection? Health care for one year costs the same as one day of war in Afghanistan.
Germany was the first nation to have national health care in 1883. Over one hundred years later, the United States finally has a health care program. Argentina, Greenland, Peru, Trinidad, Mexico and Columbia already had a national health care program, but not the United States.
Instead of trumpeting the successful passage of a health care program, Democrats went into a fetal position and ran away from its success. "What health care? You talking to me?" And lost the majority in the House.
Siding with the profitable health insurance companies, (who contributed heavily to reelection campaigns) Republicans vow to do away with the health care program. "Them insurance executives are going to fall short on their profits. They need their company jets and boats and vacations in Bermuda."
What about voters who voted you into office and don't have health care? "They can give their doctor a chicken."
Though he doesn't have the majority in the Senate, Mitch McConnell thinks he was elected president with the last election and vows to get rid of health care and make Obama a one term president.
At the House, the new leader: wears too much makeup; cries easily, (obviously menopausal) has a movable hairline, thinks he was the only person to work his way through college, (more tears) also plans to do away with health care, certain he can chase Pelosi into an early retirement.
Isn't going to happen. Not this time. This dame is from Frisco. And there is nothing like a dame!
