A federal judge in Washington today said 'It's about time we let gay American soldiers unleash their weapons and shoot wherever they are asked to!'
The surprising policy u-turn is against the Joint Chief's preference as he wants to remain 'touchy feely,' over the whole affair, saying 'I am yet to come out on this one and would prefer to take it one step at a time.'
When asked why he made his ruling about gays serving in the US armed forces he said 'I see this as a potentially big and hard issue to face but face it we must, head on, straight in the eye.' He added 'Failure to grasp this sufficiently could result in a huge sticky mess deposited who knows where. I don't want to be the one wearing this mess on my face, do you?'
However, another senior judge said today 'We need to plug this one immediately before it gets out of our hands. It's like the little boy who puts his thumb in the dyke to stop the trickle. If he takes it out we will see a gush heading our way, mark my words.'
