The Teflon Don, John Gotti, formally endorsed Carl Paladino for New York Governor over Andrew Cuomo. Although Gotti, boss of the Gambino crime family, died June 10, 2002, he is still feared because of his ability to defy the long arm of the law, including even the law of nature.
Interestingly, Gotti, Paladino and Cuomo all trace their origins back to Southern Italy and Sicily. This being Mafia territory for centuries makes it more intriguing because of the blood bond between families. Paradoxically, Gotti, who was at least not a politician, was the only one of the three to be prosecuted and sent to prison. Cuomo, the slickest of the trio, came from a longer line of criminals than both Gotti and Paladino. His father, Andrew Cuomo was once the Governor of New York and evidently passed on his criminal wiles to his son.
The outspoken Paladino, who doesn't think it's proper for Speedo wearing gay men to rub their genitals against each other in front of Cuomo's impressionable young daughters during a Gay Pride celebration, is, if nothing else, an honest man who speaks his mind with little reservation.
All in all, most New Yorkers will probably stumble over themselves and vote for Cuomo because he speaks with a forked tongue.
