Harvard University is embarrassed to find it has invited the wrong Brown as visiting Fellow.

They thought they were getting Jeffrey R. Brown who recently published a paper 'The Effect of Inheritance Receipt on Retirement Decisions', but instead have invited British ex-Prime Minister who was also Finance Minister, Gordon Brown.

Brown, probably the most disastrous leader Britain has ever known, grabbed the chance and when the mistake was realised Harvard found it was too late to correct the error.

Brown is, however, following tradition in retirement.

Tony Blair before him, buggered off abroad leaving chaos in Britain behind him; and the tradition was started by Shirley Williams who did much to destroy the British education system, and then also buggered off to Harvard.

However the error may prove a blessing in disguise. The minders responsible for his rehabilitation have enrolled him for several courses at Harvard. These include Why are so Many Countries Poor, Volatile and Unequal?, and the International Capital Markets class, where students learn what goes wrong when international investors get worried you are going bust, They are trying to steer him clear of the course Decision-making in Recent Crises as it is thought it might exacerbate his breakdown.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
