Former United Kingdom PM Tony Blair has revealed that former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown, was completely obsessed with usurping Blair's leadership and taking on the role he so jealously coveted: Prime Minister.
Blair claimed that at every turn Brown would seek to make the Prime Minister's life extremely insecure. For example, Blair said that Brown left a bucket of hot water hanging from a kitchen door at 10 Downing Street, hoping it would be disturbed with extreme consequences by Mr Blair. On another occasion, Gordon Brown set a metal animal trap in Blair's Westminster office, in the vain hope he would catch the PM unawares.
The most amazing act carried out by the unbalanced Chancellor was when he lit a phosphorous "bomb" beneath Tony Blair's chair as he waited to open a new hospital in Sussex. The item failed to explode and Mr Blair escaped with his life.
Mr Blair said he lost count of the innumerable attempts made by Gordon Brown and he believed that a day never passed without some strange occurrence directly attributable to the Chancellor. After a time, Mr Blair just got used to it.
NB Tony Blair has just received a suspicious email from someone attempting to blackmail him. The culprit: yes, you guessed right. Dear old Gordy.
