Whidbey Island, Washington - Hector Creatmore jailed in 2004 after he confessed to using human body parts in his compost fertilizer, was arrested again after a lone foot was found floating in the lake near his home.
Mr. Creatmore became a suspect in this case after police found more than a half-dozen feet in the waterways near the area where Creatmore has lived since his release.
"This investigation has cost this department an arm and a leg in lab work alone," a police spokesperson said.
Creatmore is getting a big kick out of all the trouble he has caused, and got off on the wrong foot with investigators by making light of the allegations. The foot found with no shoe or sock was sent to Seattle for DNA testing to see if it matches up with any missing persons cases in the area.
"Creatmore was making jokes about someone being 'shoeless in Seattle.' police reported. He's had his foot in his mouth during the entire interrogation process. He thinks he's pretty kicky."
Police promise they are going to dig in their heels to make sure that if Creatmore is guilty… he goes away for a long time.
"He's going to have to toe the line this time," they said.
