Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former US President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has married her long-term boyfriend George Clinton at a lavish ceremony in New York.
Chelsea Clinton former Prince of P-Funk were married at the Astor Courts estate.
Her parents said they felt "great pride and overwhelming emotion" at seeing their daughter married, and especially to a figure so esteemed as George, famed for his blaxploitation tunes in the 1970s and 80s.
The singer, who fronted bands such as Funkadelic and Parliament, once predicted the rise of Black Power to the very top of American politics in the song Chocolate City - accurately predicting the installation of Barack Obama to the Presidency a whole 30 years prior to the event.
Chelsea and George, who is now 69, celebrated their union with a huge reception on the White House lawn at the invitation of President Obama, who thanked George for everything.
