Using the reasoning, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em," James Randi world-renowned psychic debunker and all-round skeptic who has offered huge sums of cash to anyone who can prove their psychic abilities or any paranormal activity they profess to have witnessed, is opening a chain of psychic salons across America.
Wondering why, after all these years of going at the de-bunking business so hot and heavy, would he do a complete about face and decide to join the forces on the other side, we asked him, why, Mr. Randi? What is your motivation?
He told us that he's not getting any younger and the money just isn't flowing in like it used to. "I look at all those psychics out there, Madam Serena, Madam Yolanda, Madam Lisa, Madam Nancy, for chrissakes, there's even a Madam Nancy, what kinda spiritualist name is Madam Nancy? And yet, they are raking in the dough. People don't want to hear what isn't working, they just want to hear lies, so guess what? I can lie like the best of them. I'm jumping in the game and making my dough before the flour runs out."
Asked what that meant, he said he wasn't sure, but that you could take him at his word.
Madame Randi Psychic Salons are expected to open in time for the holidays, a time, says Randi when lots of gullible folks are easily parted with their money. "If you don't believe me, look how many Kindle owners there are out there who are wishing they'd spent that money on something a little more useful."
