US and Allied Forces in Afghanistan have begun initial actions to initiate the next phase of US President Barack Obama's new counter insurgency (COIN) operations plan by announcing it to the enemy.
Under the new plan, announcing what, when, where, why and how we will be doing operations to the civilian population will hopefully leave the area of operations, thus reducing civilian casualties...and hoping the enemy doesn't get the same message and leave also.
When questioned about the wisdom of announcing major operations to the general populous, Obama's DoD spokesman stated, "The administration believes it will work out fine because the enemy consists of a bunch of cave dwelling retards who get their information from the same sources the civilians do...there's no way they are sophisticated enough to use our own information against us...hope and change, hope and change."
