SAN DIEGO, CA - More than 20 horses were poisoned with toxic leaves in Southern California this week, said authorities.
Sources indicate spoof writer Cream of BuckwheatsCrack sent the San Francisco Onion a fruit basket interspersed with oleander leaves.
The SFO had just finished a fruit salad, so he unknowingly forwarded the toxic treat to his pal Adam Lambert, who then fed it to some horses at a ranch near his home.
"This is terrible! Why would someone do such a thing?" cried Lambert. "I understand it hurts when your love is unrequited, but this has gone way too far now!
"Leave this poor man alone!!" he sobbed, scanning the field of dead horses.
