AP Washington DC- Today President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney took time off of their busy schedules to read to the children visiting the White House. A top ranking official called the spontaneous story time "an unprecedented day in American history".
The children sat quietly in anticipation for the story to begin. President Bush started the afternoon off by reading from his favorite book "Saddam, WMD, and Me". His aides said that this book hasn't been published yet, but to look for it in stores in the coming months.
"We love to have children at the White House, and we will continue to read to the future of America as long as I stay in charge of this great country", President Bush said as he was leaving the White House library. Next weeks book will be "My Life" By Bill Clinton
