(Capitol Hill, Monday 28 June) Accountants employed by Vice-President Dick Cheney today confirmed that the $250,000 paid to him by President Bush Senior was for saying the word "fee" in reply to questions regarding how much money he earned in expenses and commissions from Halliburton contracts in Iraq.

"Fee fie fo fum, the money means I ain't so dumb", commented Cheney as Senators questioned him about the wisdom of accepting such a sum when he could have so easily named his own price.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
