Before the wedding, the bride to be generally registers at a local department store (or local store in a national chain) so that would be gift givers can find out what she wants or needs. This generally helps to coordinate gifts and keeps the new couple from getting multiple toasters or blenders or mis-matched towels and silverware.
Brides in the southern United States now have a new option. Instead of just going to Dilliards, J.C. Penney, or Macy's, they can register for gifts at Bass Pro Shops. This, of course, will keep their man happy and let them get something besides dishes for their wedding.
Now, the bride and groom can have matching waders or all of their friends help them buy a brand new outboard Evenrude motor. His and hers tackle boxes (blue and pink, of course) are also now a possibility.
Can't decide what to get the couple that has everything? How about a floating beer cooler, a year's supply of mosquito repellant, or a six pack of stink bait?
