MOGADISHU, Somalia - A high ranking Al-Qaida general has reported that Al-Qaida and The Taliban joined forces and have completely destroyed the Somali pirates.

Newspaper reports coming out of Mogadishu reported that Al-Qaida and The Taliban leaders became fed-up with the fact that none of the world's nations could seem to stop all of the ship hijackings by the Somali pirates.

So they decided to take matters in their own hands. They formed a coalition force of Al-Qaida and Taliban troops code named The Al-Tali-Qaida Desert & Sea Wind Warriors, and as of December 27, 2008, at 6:15 am (Somalian Time) the infamous Somali pirates have been totally wiped off the face of the Earth.

Taliban leader, Barbar Ababa said, "I am proud to announce to the nations of the world that the Taliban working in close conjunction with Al-Qaida has successfully annihilated the barbarous, evil-spewing pirates of Somalia.

The Somalian pirates are history. The only thing left is a pirate earring, a size 9 pirate boot, a buccaneer football helmet, a pirate baseball bat, and three pirate(d) CD's."

Ababa smiling from ear to ear said, "A combined force of 1,000 Al-Qaida and Taliban operatives have done in just ten short minutes what the powerful nations of The United States, The United Kingdom, Russia, China, and France could not do.

Ah, let me make a correction. Strike France from that list. Everybody knows that France never fights anybody. They just prefer to sit on the sidelines and watch."

General Muhammad Digabooti said that Al-Tali-Qaida troops managed to capture $150,000,000 in cash that the Somali pirates had taken in as ransom money.

He stated that the entire amount will be donated to The Mogadishu Chamber of Commerce.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
