Death of a Spoofwriter

(Philadelphia PA) The world's oldest man died today. 'Fish' was 117. He was found dead from a heart attack typing a story for TheSpoof.com.

"Gramps will be missed" said his 31 year old great-great-granddaughter and fellow spoofwriter Tiki Murphy. "He lived a full life. Gramps was the last living veteran of World War I. He was writing spoof stories in the trenches in 1917 but knew he would need to wait 91 years to see them posted. He was very patient."

Tiki says Fish was well-known in the rest home for keeping on top of new technology. "The ringtone on his cellphone was the opening melody of 'Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree With Anyone Else But Me' by the Lennon Sisters. No one ever called him though; alll his friends are dead. A check of his Ipod showed artists like Rudy Vallee, Tommy Dorsey and Patti Paige and other people dead for decades. God knows how he downloaded them all."

Fish was a bit confused about some current people and events. "He thought Mamie Eisenhower was running for president for some reason. He thought Miley Cyrus was the new president of France. And he thought Britney Spears was chewing gum". said Tiki.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that visitors and writers at TheSpoof access all his stories and give them five stars so he stays on the top 20 list forever!

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
