Washington AC/DC - (Bad Ass Mess): GOP presidential topdog John McCain has said he is being smeared with accusations that he screwed over jailed corrupt AC/DC lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
McCain is livid that despite the millions of dollars which the Republican Party spent on covering their asses by erasing all documented connections between him and the Abramoff new reports of his backstabbing are now bubbling up to the surface.
Abramoff's 2006 plea bargain to three counts (sic) of criminal felony, defrauding of American Indian tribes and corruption of public officials was prised out of him with all the finesse of a GOP sledgehammer according to aggrieved creditors still waiting to get their five cents in the dollar on backdated debts.
The probe into his racketeering activities also netted the convictions of White House stooges J Steven Griles and David Safavian, Representative Bob Ney as well as nine other AC/DC lobbyists and Congressional aides.
Abramoff's lawyers always claimed that a senior DC politician must have greased the wheels to their client's eventual arraignment on corruption charges that saw him jailed.
But the Capitol Hill rule of omerta has rarely been broken since the fiasco of Watergate saw Richard Nixon hoist by his own petard.
Mark Foley is sitting pretty.
