WASHINGTON (FMLiveWire) - Presidential candidate Senator John McCain has denied being sexually involved with his intimate female "lobbyist friend" despite reports in The New York Times and Washington Post about their longtime relationship.
"I have never banged Vicki Iseman," said McCain at a news conference. "We have never done the nasty, or had a close romantic relationship. But really, what is wrong with a little nookie on the side now and then anyway? I need an outlet for my high level of testosterone somewhere."
The newspapers described how aides to McCain repeatedly urged him and Iseman to stay away from each other and keep their hands off each other even before McCain's failed presidential campaign in 2000.
McCain has lobbied extensively for Iseman's clients and received large donations from them as well.
"America needs a real he-man like me to lead the nation, and it is only natural that women would jump all over someone like me," McCain added. "This is a smear campaign to raise questions about my ethical standards. So what if Iseman lobbied me? Hell, if Bill Clinton can do it, so can I."
