Des Moines, Iowa -- Just days after her miserable third place finish in the Iowa caucuses, Hillary Clinton is again out-polling her Democratic rivals. Clinton now is at 35% to Obama's 29% to Edwards 20% in Iowa. Encouraged by the trend, Mrs. Clinton said, "you see, I could have one this thing. If they'd have held it today I would have won."
She is downplaying New Hampshire, instead focusing on her theoretical win if Iowa were held 'today'. Everyone in the Clinton camp is very upbeat by this latest development and are trying to find some way to get some delegates out of this.
Barack Obama was quoted as saying, "You're kidding, she's gonna flog a dead horse? Live in the present Hillary, live in the present! You lost, okay?"
"Iowa's important," Mrs. Clinton kept insisting, "even though the vote happened last week. I'm the only one who can carry this state for the Democrats!"
The Clinton campaign is now trying to increase their candidates polling numbers in New Hampshire by next Friday.
