The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today that noted organized crime figure turned informant Jimmy 'The Rat" Manella* has been assassinated.
Manella was indicted in 1999 and given immunity from prosecution in return for his cooperation in bringing down the Rodento crime family, one of America's most powerful and violent organized crime syndicates. Manella went into the federal government's Witness Protection Program where he was given a new identity and a job as a laboratory animal at the Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Manella's body was found by sanitation workers in a dumpster on the OSU campus.
