The President denied federal funds to help the cruise ship near Juneau, Alaska

President Bush had insisted that no Federal agents assist in the rescue of the cruise ship that ran aground near Juneau, Alaska. Also, he has said that no federal property or equipment will be used to repair the ship or assist the crew or passengers.

When asked for an explanation, Bush stated that "I heard this was some kind of a ferry boat. It is the considered opinion of this government that we are not going to assist homosexuals in any way. This administration will not recognize or legalize gay marriage, and any boat carrying a group of ferrys will have to fend for themselves."

The Empress of the North ran aground off Juneau, Alaska after hitting a reef. No crew members or passengers were hurt, but tonight's planned Rosie O'Donnell film festival on board was cancelled.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
