report filed by Spoof reporter William Robinson.
Last month, the ashes of actor James Doohan (Scotty from the original Star Trek series) were blasted into space from a small spaceport in southern New Mexico. Now, that rocket, called the Jupiter Two by it's manufacturer, has become lost in space.
Doctor Zachary Smith of NASA was upset at the news. "They have all of these little rocket companies out there, promising everything to everyone. We are the only group that really has the technology and the abilities. I don;t know why someone would let a bubble headed booby shoot their ashes into space."
As I spoke with a representative of the company that fired the rocket (with a poor cell phone connection), he was reassuring. "There is no Danger, Will Robinson. All will be fine. Some cybernetic hero will come to our rescue and find the Jupiter Two."
Reports of a giant carrot walking around near the lauch site were discounted as a desert mirage.
