Fort Myers Florida - Thirty two year old Crystal Montecrisco was sentenced to death yesterday for operating a Beauty Parlor without a license.
Montecrisco had attended the North Fort Myers School of Beauty and dental Hygene for over seven years and was never able to pass the Florida Hair Dressers licensing test. By all accounts this is a very difficult test to pass.
Her Lawyer Bruce Cutler of John Gotti fame said that his client had gone through a quarter of a million dollars of her family's savings in attending the beauty academy, and was forced to operate her Beauty parlour/barbershop which was called "I Cut One" illegally, just to be able to pay back a portion of the money to her family.
Every thing seemed to be going so well until her shop stopped giving discounts to senior citizens. Crystal thinks she was turned in to the police by a group of Gray Panthers.
Bruce Cutler said he would appeal the verdict, but he added it doesn't look good.
