London - (Ass Mess): If the cops don't nab him on cash-for-honors treason charges when the Queen gets back from the USA next week Tony Blair is all set to resign and move to the White House where a new consultancy awaits for him spreading democracy (sic) in Africa according to the new masterplan forged under Karl Rove's tarot reader.
And in a breaking news development DC sources have hinted strongly that the imminent resignation of World Bank CEO Paul Wolfowitz has paved the way for Blair to take over the top job at the troubled International Bank for Deconstruction and Embezzlement in a move that would stun carefully laid plans to keep him muzzled in London.
However, Blair's new London townhouse is still far from ready for occupation after builders working on the property's subterranean escape tunnel encountered a series of problems by digging straight into live rails of the underground railway system's Circle Line, thus hampering any attempts the PM might have of evading arrest and heading to Beachy Head to feign a Lord Lucan-type of suicide disappearance.
At the White House a suite of rooms has been hastily prepared just a few corridors away from the Presidential apartment where George and Laura have spent six blissful years under constant CIA surveillance.
This may be a temporary fixture until a suitable residence is refurbished in Washington that would reflect the status and wannabe hauteur that Cherie Blair has demanded as a condition of moving to the US.
Only one potential fly-in-the-ointment scenario remains in this blissful projection:
DC madam Deborah Jeane Palfrey has yet to name a single name on her foreign visitng dignitaries client list.
Blair has long been suspected of being her top non-US customer during all those high-level DC visits to pow-wow Iraq with President Bush during the last six years.
And the official picking up the tab for these extramarital shenanigans? Step forward Paul Wolfowitz's girlfriend Shaha Ali Rizla, ostensibly Palfrey's very best client liaison director.
Cherry Bush is 69.
