Severe storms in the US leave 1 - 2 million people without electric power year on year.
Have you ever wondered why?
It is because Most states won't spend any money putting power lines Underground - where they are permanently immune to Storms, Tornadoes and Hurricanes.
Conservatives run (and ruin) many U. S. states - they will give Millions if you are even Thinking of moving businesses to their State - but putting Power lines underground - giving Power companies some money to bury the Power lines. sorry, that is not a Priority.
Then a huge Polar Storm sweeps across 20 states - and causes Billions in expenses for those 20 states. That is OK - they will spend Taxpayers money this year. And Billions next year for next year's storms and billions for the year after that.
But to put money into something that won't Make any Money? - No way - say the Reality minded Conservatives.
