The University of Wisconsin football program has been formally sued by the band House of Pain for using their song 'Jump Around', without properly obtaining permission or paying royalties.
"We heard a story after the Ohio State game, that the Wisconsin players were complaining about being trolled at the Illinois and Ohio State games, where they lost, by the playing of "their" theme song," said House of Pain member, Everlast. "We don't care if they were being trolled, that song belongs to everyone, not the University of Wisconsin! Oh, and by the way, Illinois and Ohio State are not named in the suit."
"It's really ridiculous if you think about it. Several thousand people jumping up and down celebrating, and these jocks think it's aimed at them? Eat some protein for your brains, guys. The steroids are clouding your thinking," said an ESPN broadcaster after the Ohio State game.
