Rockefeller Center, NYC. NBC News Radio today premiered a low key 2020 presidential campaign commercial in the form of a solicitation to listeners, offering them the Donald J. Trump 2020 Precious Metal Commemorative Coin. Priced at $40, but already available on Amazon for $38.99 - shipping free, the coin is 99% solid copper, made from one cent pieces tossed into the White House fountain by visitors.
"The Trump 2020 Commemorative Coin will retain its value when the stock market takes its inevitable nose dive," the commercial's voice says. "While copper is the least costly of the precious metals, its potential for growth is enormous. Silver and Gold are already at near-record prices, but copper is worth only pennies at present, and will rise with the Trump economy."
Sources tell The Spoof that on the front of the coin, which has not yet been released, is a likeness of Trump with little kids, of various ethnicities, sitting on his lap. On the reverse side are quotes from Trump's greatest speeches. In the initial minting, the reverse side is reportedly blank.
