POTUS Donald Trumps latest scheme to build a wall between the USA and Mexico has fallen flat after no one turned up.
The hapless President had picked up the idea from the famous Build A Bear company, whose Pay Your Age offer was massively over subscribed, causing huge queues and disappointment for children all over the globe after the company ran out of stock.
A source in the White House commented, " Donald read about the Build a Bear gimmick and figured he could dole out mass disappointment to the nations children without feeling any kind of serious emotion so he instructed his aides to come up with an idea."
The basis of the idea was that children would turn up to build part of the wall and having laid the same number of bricks as their age would go into a lottery for protected immigration status.
President Trump has said on Twitter that the only reason the "promotion" failed was because the idea was overcomplicated, something he feels is symptomatic of his great intelligence. He asked the American people to "not pore water over his idea which he felt the pour would benefit from greatly."
