The Northern California head office of YouTube was itself in the news yesterday, after being stormed by a gunwoman who wounded at least three people when she fired several shots out of a gun she was carrying.
The gunwoman later gunned herself to death. It's not yet known whether or not this was deliberate; she may just have been a terrible shot.
A 36-year-old man, who is believed to have been the gunwoman's boyfriend, was in a critical condition after receiving one of the bullets from the gunwoman's gun into his body. They have now split up..
So far, the gunwoman is the only confirmed fatality. This constitutes a poor return for her efforts.
The reason for the attack is, as yet, unestablished, but it's almost certain that the gunwoman was pretty angry about something. It's quite possible that she and her boyfriend had had some dispute or other, or that she was on her period, or simply that she was a woman, and they tend to be quite unpredictable. There is a strong suspicion, however, that, had tighter gun controls been in place in the US, this incident may never have happened.
