A writer on satirical news website TheSpoof.com has refused to buckle to media pressure and write an inane and pointless story about American businessman, politician, television personality, and candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election Donald Trump.
Moys Kenwood, 52, has said that writing such a story would be a pointless waste of time and effort, a travesty and a mere cynical points-scoring attempt.
A bit like Trump's Republican nomination attempt, you might say.
Kenwood went on:
"I am a true professional. I am not a cynical, power-mad loony like Donald Trump, and I will not, repeat not, give in to the hype and media pressure and pen some complete drivel about this man just to earn some badly-needed points to get me up the Spoof leader board and into first position above that dratted Gail Farrelly and her sister.
"To do so, would be unethical, and far below the high standards I have set myself."
