HOLLYWOOD, CA - Michael Sam, NFL's first openly gay player, was lambasted by NFL Commissioner, Biff Wellington, for his performance and comments on ABC's Dancing With The Stars.
During the airing of DWTS, Michael Sam lambasted his father for his absence during his childhood and subsequent homophobic attitude, after Sam told his father that he was gay.
Sam's dancing was performed to the song, "Your Not My Father". Mr. Wellington stated that his anti-gay bashing and abandonment of his homophobic father was egregious and attacked one of the historic pillars in the National Football League: Homophobia.
Sam's father could not be reached for comment.
