Milton Jones, of Mobile, Alabama, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. The diminutive 72 year-old man has seemingly distilled all the tenets of all the religions of the world to just three words. This is significant when you consider the amount of existing written texts that purport to guide humanity in the ways in which people ought to behave.
The Bible, the Talmud, the Koran, even the Kama Sutra, are all made redundant as guidebooks to a spiritual path for daily life.
These three words, this short sentence, this most simple of revelations has inspired the leading theologians and philosophers of our time to proclaim it the most significant credo of all time.
It says: "Don't hurt nobody."
Simple. Comprehensive. And despite the double negative, easy to understand, even for idiots.
No wonder, then, that Milton Jones is undoubtedly destined to receive the Prize.
