The jobless rate has fallen to 6% in figures released by the government. President Obama responded, "lot of good stuff is happening in the economy but some minor challenges remain."
Said Secretary of Labor, Bud Costello, "The minor glitches in the economy the President refer to is that the actual income for most Americans has gone down since 1989."
"Too, we have this little problem that most new jobs created are low-paying, and non benefits. Of course there is this is also this modest matter of job insecurity. I guess I'd say that there's also the small issue of the top 3% owning most of the wealth in America," he said.
Secretary of Commerce, Bud Abbot, agreed. "Well, we do have this little difficulty of the rich getting richer and the poor being poorer."
"But, what the hell, the Bible says that 'the poor ye shall always have amongst you. That's why I can't get too upset about hunger in America and the recent cuts in food stamps for children.
