Benjamin Franklin has been credited as being the inventor of the bifocals, the lightning rod, the odometer, the $100 bill, and the Franklin Stove. But hardly anyone knows that the kite-flying chubster also invented the Franklin Grill, which hundreds of years later would become the predecessor of the extremely popular George Foreman Grill.

"Old Franky even invented the postal service but we can not hold him personally responsible for that", joked George Foreman. "He was also quite a lady's man and served as ambassador to France for several years. He cried when they ordered him to come back to America!

Another wonderful idea, according to George Foreman, was Franklin's idea of Daylight Saving Time.

"That way in the summertime you can sit up late and use my grill to fix you some great BBQ sandwiches as you watch those bugs get zapped like Muhammed Ali did me that one time. Ha ha ha.

"So you're a big Ben Franklin fan?"

"Right. Only thing I didn't like is that he never named all his kids George!"

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
