The low level of the English Channel could have a catastrophic effect on the sardine population.

NEW YORK CITY - U.S. oceanic scientists are reporting that the English Channel is losing about 9 gallons of seawater per year.

They stressed that although there is no need for concern at the present time, weather experts are keeping a close eye on the situation.

The government of France has stated that they do not want to see any type of catastrophic occurrence due to the imbalanced nature of the water level in regards to fish and algae.

France noted that back in September of 1793, the English Channel lost 14,708 gallons of seawater which caused 90 percent of the fish population to enter into a shock mode.

Thousands of sardines headed south and many ended up off the coast of Massachusetts where sadly some were caught by U.S. sardine fishermen.

France does not want a repeat of that very sad situation.

In Other News. Tina Fey recently told Regis Philbin on The Viagra View that if she ever sees Sarah "Snowflake" Palin in person she is going to slap her so hard, her youngest daughter Piper is gonna say "Ouch!"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
