PHOENIX, AZ - Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, under mounting pressure to veto a bill assailed by critics as a license to discriminate against homosexuals in the name of religion, met today with politicians on both sides of the issue, and is expected to announce a decision tomorrow afternoon.
Her spokesperson, Gaye Whaughd, said she plans to make a statement tomorrow at 3:09 EST which would allow business owners to slap anyone who opposes the bill.
The announcement came just hours after Major League Baseball and the National Football League joined a growing chorus of businesses denouncing or expressing strong reservations about the legislation.
