TAMPA BAY, FL. - A Caucasian man was found guilty of three counts of attempted murder for the fatal shooting of an African-American teenager over loud music, but a mistrial was declared after the all-black jury broke out their boom-boxes and started dancing in celebration.
After deliberating for more than 963 hours over three days, the jury convicted Johnny B. Goode, 67, of three counts of attempted murder in the second degree and one count of firing a shot into an occupied vehicle.
Florida State Attorney General Anita Cahnvicione' indicated she would seek a retrial after the white judge declared the mistrial.
