Knoxville, Tennessee. An agent for the notoriously reclusive writer has claimed that Cormac McCarthy was "genuinely delighted and thrilled" at plans by State Officials to open a theme park in honor of his novels later this year.
The venue will incorporate a vast amount of Southern Gothic events and entertainments for all ages including: Hiding from Cannibals, Indian Scalp Hunt, Limb Harvestin', Them Boneyards Them Boneyards, Tossing Coins with Serial Killers, Incestville, Human Spit Roast, Mexican Knife Fight to the Death, Horse Abattoir, Walking for Miles with No Food and an Eerie Monologue Tent to list but a few.
Tennessee State Official : "We're delighted that Ol' Cormac has shown such enthusiasm for the idea because he isn't what you'd call the most light-hearted of characters. Now whole families can get to enjoy a deeper sense of his literary vision i reckon, and we guarantee odds of surviving the experience at about 35 % if you're a gun owner and we have a lot of 'em hereabouts. "
Celebrity endorsers so far include Clint Eastwood and Ted Nugent.
