FRANKFORT, Tennessee - The Tennessee Senate has just passed a bill that was carried by a vote of 32-1 that makes twerking illegal.
State senator Florence Pennymaker [D-Memphis] stated that she's 34, and she is by no means a prude but having seen Miley Cyrus twerk now on four different occasions she finds it to be a totally disgusting act.
She said that she compares it to dry humping, which is also illegal in Tennessee.
Senator Pennymaker made it abundantly clear that the state will not put up with anyone, citizen of visitor, performing that lewd and lascivious act.
She pointed out that there was a case recently at an old folks home in Chattanooga where a 93-year-old man twerked an 84-year-old woman.
The incident was performed before the anti-twerking bill passed, and interestingly enough, the couple has since become engaged and they plan to be married on Christmas Day.
