MONROE, Louisiana - Phil Robertson, the patriarch of the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty fame, says that he feels that he has now become as popular as Peyton Manning, Ryan Seacrest, George Clooney, and even Regis Philbin.
He revealed to local reporters that he is seriously considering running for state senator.
Robertson pointed out that he is just as smart and even smarter than any or even all of the 144 state senators currently holding office in the Baton Rouge Senate Building.
He proudly commented that his wife Miss Kay has encouraged him along with the rest of his entire family.
Robertson said that his campaign slogan will be "Ducks are smarter than lots of folks but unlike folks ducks can't vote."
SIDENOTE: The incumbent senator of the Monroe District, the quasi-honorable Angler P. Stuttgart confided to an aide that if Phil Robertson runs against him then his goose is cooked (Stuttgart's goose).
